Thanks for reminding me that today is today! I saw you play at the Unitarian Church in Laguna Beach last summer while visiting California. I really enjoyed your show and would love to have you come to the Midwest as soon as I figure out where ... Hearing from you and yours revived my longing to visit the Coronado Hotel in San Diego.

The book was great.....I cried in one part, I laughed in many other parts and I learned a LOT!!! I am in Zihuatanejo, Mexico and was thrilled when I was able to talk to a "true" Mariachi, identify his "guitaron" and talk to him knowledgeably about his music and his instrument.....Thanks, John

John,

I was able to settle down to reading your delightful book this week.

I want you to know how much I enjoyed your sensual and visual imagery when writing about music, musical instruments and the talented musicians you have known.

Each person you introduced came alive and your closing sentence of the segment on a particular artist was always satisfying....a good touch!

Congratulations!

I'm a dancer, I've danced to your music at the Del and also in Mission Valley. I've
always enjoyed your music, but in writing the book, you've also provided insight
into the personal lives of those who make their living as a musician. You've done a
great service to all musicians. The book was so entertaining. I laughed and
laughed, it was a great read, John.

Okay, I'm editing my previous message. (left out an entire sentence) BURNIN' ACCORDIAN ON "YA ME VOY" and the romanticism of Corrina. Makes more sense now doesn't it?

Finally got a chance to listen to the cd. NICE! You got a groove going on all the tracks, and a burnin' accordian on Corrina. I especially liked "Old Cats." Haven't read the book yet, but looking forward to it. Stay in the zone. You've got a lot going on. Till next time.

John, Thank you for providing some wonderful and warm music last evening at the Unitarian Church in Laguna Beach. There is an entire city of potential fans if you come here more often. Thank you for trading a one of your books for one of my CD books "ElectriCity BEYOND THE CURVE OF DEREGULATION". It is also non-fiction. I hope you find it interesting. I have been reading bits of your book today and have found it a great distraction to the elusive goal of getting me and my 50 boxes of original documents transported back to KS ASAP! Thank you!

What a fascinating book ! It is a captivating, informative, clever and, at times, hilarious journey into the career of a superb musician. Juan says he is proud to be your "tocayo," and to remember him when you become rich and famous. Thank you for sharing your experiences and talent. We love you.

What an awesome book!

You made it come true as you have lived the life from the bottom up as a musician. It's fun, an easy read, and your book is full of surprises from your bad gigs to your encounterment with great and successful people.

You tell is like is as an experienced Musician, Artist, and now an Author.

I'm so proud of you.

Your Sweetie..............
